DeSean Jackson inactive vs. Rams

Washington will be without its top receiver Sunday.

Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson is officially inactive for Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. Jackson was listed as questionable on the Friday injury report with a leg injury that forced him out of Washington's Week 13 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Jackson was carted off the field from that game and missed practice all week.

The team said that missing practice wouldn’t necessarily guarantee that Jackson would be out Sunday, but that it would all depend on how he was able to manage the pain prior to the start of the game. It’s clear that he was unable to recover in time to play.

Jackson’s absence is a blow to Washington, especially when it comes to its chances of winning. Washington is not in a playoff race, but Jackson is a huge part of the offense.
