Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Thomas was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report with an ankle injury that forced him out of Denver's last two games. He did manage to practice all three days this week, and many thought there was a good chance that he'd be active for Sunday.

The Broncos tight end will return Sunday after missing two games.

Even though the Broncos won both of the games that Thomas sat out, they’re obviously a much better team when he’s in the lineup. He has 40 receptions for 426 yards on the season, and while those numbers aren’t huge, his real production comes in the red zone. Thomas has 12 touchdown receptions on the season, and is easily Peyton Manning’s favorite target when they get in scoring range.
Having him back may not be required for Denver to notch a win against the Bills, but he’s certainly a big boost for the offense. Manning leads the league’s No. 2 passing offense, with 304.4 passing yards per game on average, and he’ll surely be looking for Thomas in the end zone to get past the 7-5 Bills.
