Clemson vs. Wake Forest 2012 final score: Tigers dominate Demon Deacons, 42-13
Clemson defeated Wake Forest by a wide margin Thursday night, 42-13.

Five different Tigers reached the end zone in all of their first-half touchdowns. Clemson tight end Brandon Ford caught a nine-yard pass from quarterback Tajh Boyd in the first quarter for a score. Then in the second, Boyd found Sammy Watkins for a 61-yard score.
From there, Sam Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins and Charone Peake were on the receiving end of Boyd's four other touchdown passes. D.J. Howard rushed for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
At the end of the first half, Wake Forest cracked the scoreboard with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Tanner Price to fullback Tommy Bohanon, who lined up in the slot.
That took things into halftime, and Wake had the first possession of the third quarter. Price and Bohanon hooked up for another touchdown pass, this one for 18 yards, to give the Deamon Deacons a bit of momentum.
Box Score Hero: Boyd completed 27 of 38 passes for 428 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.
Rankings Ramifications: An impressive win against an ACC opponent could help the Tigers move up from No. 18, depending on what else happens around college football this weekend.
But Did They Cover? Clemson was a 13-point favorite, so they exceeded the spread.
