BYU vs. Utah State score: Cougars lead as Chuckie Keeton goes down with injury

There was shortage of scoring from BYU and Utah State in the early going of Friday night’s showdown at Romney Stadium. Midway through the second quarter, BYU holds a 10-7 lead.

The biggest story of the game has been the injury to Chuckie Keeton. Utah State's star quarterback went down with a knee injury late in the first quarter and was helped off the field by team trainers. His return is highly doubtful.

BYU took a 7-0 lead on the first play of the game. Kyle Van Noy intercepted an errant throw from Keeton and took it 18 yards to the house. The Aggies responded on their next drive, though, with Keeton connecting with Travis Van Leeuwen on a 7-yard touchdown strike to tie the game up.

The Cougars came right back on their next drive and capped it off with a 27-yard field goal off the foot of Justin Sorensen.
