Nick Foles went 22-for-34 passing for 251 yards and a touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles suffered their eighth straight loss of the season at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. He played more than respectably for a rookie, making several big throws for third-down conversions.
Nick Foles performs admirably, but fantasy numbers low
Nick Foles went 22-for-34 passing for 251 yards and a touchdown during the Eagles’ loss to the Cowboys on Sunday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Foles' night was easily a career best. He beat his previous best of 219 yards passing playing in place of the injured Michael Vick in Week 10 against the Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact: Foles didn't do much for fantasy owners in terms of pure production, but he did show plenty of potential for the future. Yeah, he did miss some open receivers. He overlooked Bryce Brown for what would have been an easy 2-point conversion late in the fourth quarter. Overall, the rookie was very impressive, however.
We would still hold off on putting Foles into your starting lineup in standard formats. He could garner consideration in two-quarterback leagues. The Eagles' schedule is favorable, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins on tap.
