The Philadelphia Eagles host the San Diego Chargers in a Week 2 contest that many think the Eagles will win running away. Philadelphia's high octane offense caught the Redskins off guard in Week 1, while the Chargers blew a huge lead to the Texans. Fantasy football projections, Chargers vs. Eagles: Michael Vick, Desean Jackson, Ryan Matthews and more
We break down the fantasy projections for the Week 2 matchup between the San Diego Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles.
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers blew a huge lead last week, but from a fantasy perspective, Philip Rivers could very well be "back in the game". The Chargers QB looked very solid, and will look to build on this performance against an aggressive Eagles defense. He spread the ball around well in Week 1, providing mixed fantasy value for his receivers. No receiver finished with more than three catches or 49 yards. The projections this week reflect that.
Philadelphia Eagles
Chip Kelly’s offensive attack looks like it could be glorious for fantasy owners, if the team can maintain this pace for most of the season. The biggest opportunity of last week belonged to LeSean McCoy. The Eagles running back got numerous opportunities, and took advantage of them. His high draft stock appears justified, as long as he can stay healthy.
The Eagles were on a record pace for offensive plays, and the passing attack took advantage. Michael Vick was efficient before they slowed down in the second half with a big lead. Desean Jackson was the big beneficiary, leading the team in receptions and yards, and taking advantage of his nine targets. Jackson looks like he could be climbing fantasy rankings as much as anybody else.
