Fantasy football rankings 2017: Quarterbacks for NFL Week 13

The playoffs are almost here! Ben Roethlisberger had another great week and topped all fantasy quarterbacks for Week 12. And that marks back-to-back weeks he has passed for four touchdowns.

With teams turning to quarterbacks like Tom Savage and Geno Smith, Roethlisberger remains one of the better fantasy quarterbacks out there. He’ll be facing an average team in Cincinnati on the road in Week 13, but should be able to put up another strong performance.

Carson Wentz continued his strong sophomore season with his seventh game of 20 or more fantasy points. Week 13 will provide one of his toughest tests, as the Eagles travel to Seattle. The Seahawks’ pass defense has been weakened by injuries, so Wentz should be able to put up good numbers again. I’d be shocked if he didn’t reach 20 fantasy points for the eighth time this season.

Surprisingly, Smith will get the start for the New York Giants. Eli Manning has had a terrible season but the blame likely rests on the whole offense. The offensive line has been horrible since the start of the season. The receivers Manning has been playing with over the last month and a half have been embarrassing. They may be the worst group of receivers in the league. Many are thinking this is the end of Manning with the Giants. I know he’s not a fantasy stud but I do hope he keeps playing somewhere in 2018.

On the injury front, Jameis Winston may finally be ready to return from his shoulder injury. The team believes if he resumes practicing Wednesday he’ll be the starter in Week 13. Tampa Bay’s season may be lost, but a healthy Winston still holds value down the stretch.

Mathew Stafford sprained his ankle in Week 12 but finished the game. It looks like he’ll be fine moving forward.

Jay Cutler may miss a second straight start recovering from his concussion. Cutler or Matt Moore are not worth the fantasy start against Denver in Week 13, regardless of who is named Miami’s starter.

C.J. Beathard seems to have lost the starting job in San Francisco after injuring his knee in Week 12. At the least, he’ll miss Week 13 with Jimmy Garoppolo already being named the starter.

Paxton Lynch suffered a high ankle sprain and will miss two to four weeks. Trevor Siemian will get the start in Week 13.

SB Nation’s sleeper pick for Week 13 is Blake Bortles. He looked terrible passing against Arizona in Week 12 but has a great matchup this week. I think he’ll pass for 270 yards and a touchdown against Indianapolis. I think he’ll also score a rushing touchdown, since he scored twice on the ground against the Cardinals.
