Week 14 of the 2017 regular season is just about coming to a close with the Monday Night game remaining. Most fantasy football leagues will run their waiver wires late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but we are here to help you get a jump on the best options to consider.

We will be ranking the top five players likely to be available in your league at each of the four major positions. Some weeks there might not be five good options available, but we’ll scour for the best we can find. Additionally, throughout the week, we will update each of these articles as ownership percentages change and news arrives. The following ownership percentages come via CBS Sportsline entering Week 14.
After an off-week against the Packers in Week 13, Howard was right back to his recent pattern of production. After back-to-back games in Weeks 11 and 12 with three catches for 52 yards (and one touchdown), Howard had four catches for 54 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. Cameron Brate had one target Sunday, so Howard is the preferred tight end option here.
Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions (36)
If Ebron wants to save his best for last, who are we to argue? Ebron had by far his best game of 2017 on Sunday, catching 10 of 11 targets for 94 yards, all season highs by a wide margin. Ebron has a pair of middling matchups in Weeks 15 and 16, so a desperate owner can turn here and bank on somewhere between eight and 10 points.
Anyone who has played preseason daily fantasy the past two years knows all about Burton. Now season-long players have been let in on the secret after Burton’s 5-71-2 breakout performance. Zach Ertz could be out more than one week with lingering concussion issues, which would keep Burton front-and-center as a tight end option. But the loss of Carson Wentz makes Burton’s outlook a little cloudy. Burton was invisible after Wentz left the game. Tread carefully here.
Shaheen had his second 14-point fantasy outing in the past four weeks, catching four passes for 44 yards and a score. The Bears face Detroit and Cleveland the next two weeks, which represent a solid and fantastic pair of matchups. Especially in Week 16, Shaheen could put an owner in the winner’s circle.
Celek followed up a 2-30 line in Jimmy Garoppolo’s first start in Week 13 with a 2-67-1 line on Sunday against the Texans. If Celek is going to become more of a factor with Jimmy G at quarterback, he could be considered a desperation play.
