Washington lineman Chris Baker celebrates sack with ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’

The Washington lineman celebrated several plays during their game against the Rams with an homage to protestors in Ferguson.

Baker made a similar gesture during live play earlier in the game. After the game, he confirmed its meaning:

It’s the same gesture several Rams players made last week, leading to a call for an apology from a St. Louis police organization and an awkward moment where police reps claimed the Rams apologized and the Rams insisting they did not.

Several players around the NFL, including one on the Rams, took the field with tributes to Eric Garner on their clothing.
