Tim Tebow’s Magic Streak Comes To An End As Patriots Win Easily, 41-23

That’s not only the biggest rating that CBS has done this season, it’s the biggest rating that they have done for a game in four years. The network didn’t get the late “Tebow Time” finale that they would have liked, but they won’t be too disappointed. Now, CBS can only hope that the Broncos can make a run into the playoffs. The ratings for a playoff rematch between the two teams would be staggering.

This is unlikely to be the last we hear of a defensive player “Tebowing” after sacking Tim Tebow. Someone will do it next week. And the week after that. And if Tebow doesn’t get sacked too often over the next two weeks, someone will probably do it in the playoffs.

And because this is Denver, situated firmly in the American West, the monkey is wearing chaps and a rodeo shirt. He thinks he’s people!

Not content to let Tim Tebow be the only quarterback with a touchdown run in the game, Tom Brady scrambled one-yard into the end zone with less than two minutes to go in the first half. Brady’s touchdown gave the Patriots a 24-16 lead over the Broncos.

For good measure, Brady added the hard spike after pushing through to the end zone. Witness the other quarterback scoring and spiking in the video below.

Carter hit the turf at the end of a play in the first quarter and immediately grabbed his left knee. He lay on the field as an injury delay was called and a cart came out to retrieve him. He was able to stand and be assisted to the cart and was then driven off the field.

The Denver Broncos wasted no time establishing the run against the New England Patriots. With time still left in the first quarter, Denver had 133 rushing yards. Lance Ball added a 32-yards on a breakaway touchdown run that gave Denver the lead.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow decided not to wait until the fourth quarter to get on the scoreboard this week. That is probably a smart move considering Denver is playing host to the high-scoring New England Patriots. Tebow ran the ball nine yards for a touchdown, capping off a nine-play, 80-yard drive that opened the game.

This should be it, an end to Tebow Time. But then again, wasn’t that the case for ... every game? Isn’t it supposed to happen every week? Maybe this is just the perfect scenario for the legend of Tim Tebow to become even more absurd than anyone ever thought possible.

After watching Tebow’s fourth quarter heroics in recent games, that game plan might sound easier than it actually will be in reality.

The over/under of 46 points might be a bit high if Tim Tebow is unable to exploit the Patriots weak secondary. But don’t underestimate the ability of the Broncos defense to slow down the Patriots offense, either.
