The explosive offense of the Philadelphia Eagles came to grinding halt Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, with just 139 total yards gained against the NFL's top-ranked defense in a 24-14 loss.
Mark Sanchez is ‘trying to impersonate a good quarterback,’ says Michael Bennett
Sanchez finished with 96 yards passing Sunday in the worst offensive performance of Chip Kelly’s coaching career.
That's the lowest total in Chip Kelly's career as a head coach at both the professional and collegiate level, and only the second time all season the Eagles have been held under 350 yards of offense. While Mark Sanchez finished with two touchdown passes, he struggled to get the offense moving all game and finished with only 96 yards passing.
Sanchez has averaged just over 300 yards passing in his first four starts of the season since taking over for Nick Foles, and has six touchdowns and four interceptions. That evidently didn't garner the respect of the Seahawks' defenders though, including defensive end Michael Bennett, who had some things to say about Sanchez after the game:

— Jarrett Bell (@JarrettBell) December 8, 2014 Bennett was one of three players to record a sack of Sanchez Sunday and upped his season total to six. With the win, the Seahawks improved to 9-4 and the Eagles dropped to the same mark, which could matter in the tight race for Wild Card spots in the NFC. Bennett doesn’t appear to be too worried about the Eagles being a factor with Sanchez at the helm, though.
Bennett, however, doesn’t seem to be a believer that Sanchez, who is 3-2 as the Eagles’ starter, can take Philadelphia very far. After the game he also was asked what he saw in the Eagles quarterback.
“The same thing everyone else saw -- not much.”
The Eagles will have a chance to rebound against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, just two weeks after defeating the Cowboys in Week 13. The two teams are tied atop the NFC East and the winning team in Week 15 will have a one-game advantage for the divisional lead with just two games left to play.
