The second injury was far nastier - Zdanek Grygera suffered a badly twisted knee in a tussle for possession with Gareth Bale and it looks like bad news indeed for the Czech defender, who was given oxygen for several minutes and was then stretchered off. Hopefully that’s not as bad as it seems, because from what we all saw that could well be a blown cruciate ligament.

Newcastle Vs. Everton Live, 2011 Premier League: Full Time, Magpies Grab Tough Win
There was no luck involved in the second goal, though, with Ryan Taylor hitting an absolute stunner from just outside the penalty area. With the ball bouncing around, the Magpies fullback hit a great volley over the head of Tim Howard and into the net in the top corner at the far post, an absolutely magnificent strike.

Two years ago Everton were a club that knew how to balance the expectations of a fanbase following a storied team adjusting to a new reality while maintaining hope for a better future while Newcastle were an absolute disaster if a big club that had completely llost the plot and doomed themselves to irrelevance.
The lesson here is we should stop trying to predict the future because we are all really stupid.
