San Jose Earthquakes Vs. Houston Dynamo: Lenhart Nets First Goal In 2-0 Win
The Quakes are now unbeaten in their last five matches and are riding a three game home winning streak. The win still only keeps them at seventh in a very congested Western Conference. At 16 points they still trail Portland, Chivas, and many others.
The loss brings the Dynamo’s winless streak to seven games now. With other results this weekend the Dynamo are now tied with Columbus for fifth in the Eastern Conference.

The Union looked like the better of the two sides though throughout the game. Aside from the two goals the best chance was in the 53rd minute when Keon Daniels took a ball after a long string of passes by the Union and set a shot high over Matt Picken’s goal.
The draw keeps the defending MLS Cup champions at fifth place in the Western Conference with 19 points.

It was Chavez’s first goal of the season and his first regular season goal since last October.
The result also marked the 100th shutout for Kevin Hartman.

Dallas had been pressuring New England the the bulk of the second half, much like they did in the first half. But chances were starting to get away from them again in the second half as more shots were going wide or high over the goal.
