Crawford has since been diagnosed with a hamstring strain, and while the severity isn’t yet known, it’s probably unlikely that he’ll play on Saturday, at the very least. Crawford has heated up at the plate since a godawful start to the season, so it would be a blow to the Red Sox if he has to miss more than a day or three.
