The Broncos and Cowboys kept rolling with big wins at home while the St. Louis Rams used some special teams trickery to upset Seattle.
Broncos win and other NFL scores

Brad Penner-USA TODAY SportsThe Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers won in walkovers during action in Week 7 of the NFL season. Elsewhere there was more excitement, with the St. Louis Rams holding on against a furious second-half push to beat the Seattle Seahawks, the Detroit Lions rallying against the New Orleans Saints, and the Buffalo Bills scoring a touchdown with a second remaining on the clock to edge the Minnesota Vikings.
The late afternoon/evening slate had no shortage of intrigue. Perhaps most importantly, the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys established themselves as forces to be reckoned with.

Just a little helpful advice from the woman who was sent a picture of Brett Favre’s genitalia.
This would probably be a weird way for the Ol’ Gunslinger to congratulate Peyton Manning, but there’s no harm in covering your bases.

Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre’s record for most NFL career passing touchdowns Sunday night, throwing three touchdowns in the first quarter to reach 509 for his career. The ball is a keepsake Manning will probably keep in a prominent place on his mantle for his whole life ... if he can ever get it away from his receivers:
Manning’s Monkey in the Middle skills aren’t that impressive -- good thing he’s not a defensive back.

Peyton Manning has now thrown 507 touchdowns, one short of Brett Favre’s NFL record. Thanks to a clumsy ref, this is maybe the 503rd most difficult he’s thrown:
Emmanuel Sanders comes wiiiiiiide open after rookie defensive back Dontae Johnson gets taken out by the umpire on the play. There’s nothing he really could’ve done: the ref got directly into his path and fell instants before Johnson reached him, leaving the defender essentially no time to take any sort of evasive action. Manning calmly gathered and threw the TD as soon as Johnson fell.

Wesley HittMurray had a scare in the second quarter, when he left the field limping with an apparent ankle injury. He returned in the second half and didn’t appear any worse for the wear. He had 73 yards in the first half, and added 55 and a touchdown in the second for a total of 128 yards on the ground on 28 carries. Murray now has 913 yards rushing through seven games, which is the third-most ever behind only Terrell Davis in 1998 (1,001 yards) and Jamal Lewis in 2003 (971 yards). Murray is obliterating his contemporaries:
The Cowboys held a nine-minute time of possession in the first half, however, and the extra rest may have keyed a big second half for the Dallas defense. Nothing came easy on the ground or through the air for the Giants, who coughed up the ball twice on fumbles in the second half.

Look at that! The football is horizontal, he’s completely outstretched and somehow managed to hold on to the ball despite taking a big hit.
This NFC East game between the Cowboys and Giants is something else.

“I’m just famous baseball player Alex Rodriguez and I am walking onto the field at the Cowboys game and nothing bad could possibly ever --”
The Yankees were *thatclose* to Rodriguez getting trampled by a football team and never having to pay him again.

Wesley HittUPDATE: Murray appears to be okay. He grabbed his helmet as if he was ready to return to game on the Cowboys’ final drive of the half, but did not immediately enter the game. Murray returned in the second half, however, and took the Cowboys’ first handoff.
Murray has been the Cowboys’ workhorse this season. The carry was his 172nd of the season. He has been incredibly effective, with six straight games of more than 100 yards rushing to start the season, but he has been prone to injuries in the past. Whether Murray could hold up under a heavy workload has been major question throughout his career as a college and professional running back.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY SportsThe Colts passed to open up the run. They leaned heavily on Luck early to set up grinding fourth-quarter drives. Trent Richardson’s 5.5 yards per carry was the most he has had in a single game since his rookie year.
The game may not have been as close as the score indicated. The Colts committed two turnovers, both fumbles, to help the Bengals stay within striking distance in the first half. Cincinnati was down just 10-0 at intermission despite being outgained significantly.

This is what happens when the Packers are winning by 28 points, completely dismantling the Panthers and Green Bay has already benched all its key players.

Tannehill started the game 18-for-19 passing, which equaled Alex Smith’s numbers when he set the NFL’s single-game completion percentage record in 2012. Tannehill could put himself in good company if he stay’s on pace with his current 90.5 completion percentage.
His 50 yards, half of which came on a 25-yard run on the Dolphins’ third scoring drive, also made him the game’s leading rusher to that point, besting Matt Forte’s 44 yards on nine carries.

This is how FOX returned to Lambeau Field after halftime between the Panthers and Packers. For a second there was a very real risk we’d have a War of the Worlds-esque freakout where those watching at home thought the stadium had been taken over by the undead.
Who knew a marching band running in slow motion would be so terrifying?

The carry was Spiller’s first on the day. He and Jackson have been a productive tandem in Buffalo, but both have struggled with injuries at times. Spiller hasn’t had the heavy workload he might prefer this season. If he misses extended time, it could hurt his standing with the team. Spiller is scheduled to become a free agent after the 2014 season.

Early in Sunday’s game between the Bengals and the Colts, cameras caught Gene Steratore replacing a contact lens.

Wesley HittNew Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is active for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. Graham was listed as questionable on the official injury report with a shoulder injury that he sustained in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he missed practice leading up to the game.
The Saints’ bye last week was apparently all Graham needed to get back on the field. The 27-year-old tight end has been excellent this season, but he caught just two passes for 36 yards before sustaining the injury against the Buccaneers.
