Across the cage, Carmont makes his long-awaited UFC debut on the heels of five straight wins, capped by a first round knockout of Octagon veteran Jason Day. A 29-yard-old Frenchman affectionately known as “Limitless,” the Muay Thai specialist trains alongside UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre in Montreal and will make his middleweight debut.

With the onset of the official bout confirmations, oddsmakers at Bodog.eu have released the opening betting lines for the two anticipated contests. Not surprisingly, St. Pierre is an overwhelming favorite to defeat Condit. Currently the challenger is slated as a three-to-one underdog.
In the night’s other bout, Penn has been tabbed as the slight favorite over Diaz, though the odds are much closer. It’ll be interesting to see how these lines change as the event nears, as the subtle shift generally reveals the sway of public opinion.
