We are officially to the last Sunday of the 2017 calendar that will not feature NFL action! The regular season starts this coming Thursday, and next Sunday will feature a full slate of action. In the meantime, we spend today tracking practice squad signings and waiver wire maneuvering! The most notable move today saw the Buffalo Bills release running back Jonathan Williams. It was quite a surprise!

2017 fantasy football drafts are wrapping up over the coming days, and today is one of the biggest for fantasy drafts. With that in mind, the SB Nation Fantasy War Room is open well into the evening, answering all your fantasy football questions until 9 p.m. ET. Today is when teams can place players on injured reserve while retaining the option of returning them during the season. We could see some important names end up on IR today, which will shake up fantasy drafts to a certain degree. Keep an eye on those names as they could slip a decent amount in your draft.
The War Room is wrapping up our August/September draft schedule this week. We will be operating from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. These hours will take us to the Thursday kickoff opener later this week.
