Seattle’s defense and a determined Marshawn Lynch were no match for the 49ers in Seattle on Sunday night.

EA Sports released a video last week hyping Sunday’s Seahawks-49ers game, in which Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson made a bet that the loser of their Week 2 matchup would have to shave an eyebrow.
The original video was on the set of their solid Madden 25 commercial “Summer Camp,” yet we dared to dream. We hoped the loser would follow through on the bet teased in a semi-viral video. And yet, this is the payoff. A 16-second clip featuring some of the worst and fakest digital manipulation since Delgo.

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIREMcDonald also suffered an ankle issue, although it’s not thought to be nearly as serious as Williams. Reid went down with a concussion and did not return to action while Davis dealt with a balky hamstring that hampered him throughout the rainy evening.

Otto Greule JrAccording to Collinsworh, Sherman hated Harbaugh for allegedly badmouthing him to other coaches and front-office types, thus tanking his value and making him be drafted lower than expected. Of course, Collinsworth also spoke at length about violent gangs, so take that with a grain of salt.
However, following Seattle’s big home win, Sherman raced across the field to tell the departing Harbaugh that he coached a good game. The GIF of that moment was presented to us by Buzzfeed Sports:

USA TODAY SportsBut Lynch stole the show, rushing for two touchdowns and catching another. He was unquestionably the difference in the game, though both defenses played well throughout.
The Seahawks were favored by three points, according to Odds Shark. They easily covered the spread.

Otto Greule JrDavis had three catches for 20 yards on five targets before leaving the game. In a sloppy game dominated by defense, the 49ers’ passing game hasn’t had much of a chance to get rolling. Turnovers and great coverage by the Seahawks limited all of San Francisco’s receivers.
The 49ers were already down 22-3 when Davis left the game, and he wasn’t finding much separation in Seattle’s secondary, but the injury adds insult to injury for San Francisco.

Marshawn Lynch isn’t always in Beast Mode. Sometimes he just wants to enjoy a slower pace, a Sunday walk, like the rest of us.
Or, I assume, based on this image of his touchdown Sunday night (or was it Monday morning?) against the 49ers.

He was assisted off the field and looked visibly shaken as he headed to the sideline. He was taken to the locker room after the medical staff continued their evaluation on the sidelines. NBC’s Michelle Tafoya reports that Reid is being tested further for concussion-like symptoms and is likely done for the night.
Here is a look at the collision between Reid and Rice:

How to watch Sunday Night Football

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports49ers vs. Seahawks preview

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIREOn Sunday, the division rivalry will heat up when the 49ers hit the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks in their stadium. It’s a pivotal matchup, and is essentially as important a Week 2 matchup as one can get. Their destinies are still in each team’s own hands this season, even after a game like this, but it’s an important moment for the division and momentum in general.
The 49ers and Seahawks are developing quite a rivalry. If folks thought 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was vocal in the media this week, they should listen to him with a Pete Carroll matchup right around the corner. Let’s take a look at the two teams below:
Read Article >Seahawks favored over 49ers

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY SportsSeattle opened up as a three-point favorite earlier in the week, according to OddsShark. The line has moved slightly at some books, narrowing to 2.5-points in favor of the Seahawks, but it’s unlikely to reach even money by Sunday.
Such a small line is almost always in favor of the home team, and that is true in this case. On top of that generally being the case, the Seahawks themselves usually get quite a boost from their home-field advantage, given that they haven’t lost there in some time. They’re always a tough out in that stadium.
