One of NASCAR's most consistent racers who rarely puts himself in a bad position on the track, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had the third-most top-five finishes last season (16), trailing only Kevin Harvick (23) and Joey Logano (22). That consistency came despite a first-year crew chief, Greg Ives, and with a crew that committed countless gaffes on pit road. With Ives gaining experience, Earnhardt should again maintain a steady presence near the front. If all goes right, he might mount a serious push toward the championship.
